Up until recently, Golf tuition at Feldon Valley has been solely run by renowned PGA professional Tom Jones.  In April 2017, Tom expanded the Feldon Valley Team and we now welcome another PGA professional, Iain Powell.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce that we have a new PGA Professional joining the team at Feldon Valley. Iain Powell will be responsible for the majority of coaching at the club and devotes time to learning about the pupil, and what makes the biggest difference to performance.

If you want to improve your golf, or indeed learn to play, then book a lesson with Iain at Feldon Valley; the most picturesque golf course in the Cotswolds.

About Iain

Iain turned pro aged 20 with a +2 handicap and spent 5 years at the prestigious Copt Heath Golf Club where he passed the PGA examinations and was elected as a member of The PGA. Iain then went on to play full time and notched up 5 professional wins. He was then invited to join the Internacional Acadamia De Golf in Portugal coaching elite juniors from the Portuguese Golf Federation. The north of Europe then called and Iain moved to Norway and spent some time playing and coaching in Scandinavia where he enjoyed the lifestyle and learned the language.

Home soil beckoned once more and Iain was appointed as Head Professional at The Hampshire Golf Club and helped the to club develop and grow. A strong desire to compete took Iain back to his roots to the Midlands where he signed a deal with The Welcombe Golf & Country Club, taking over from Carl Mason as the club’s Touring Professional competing on The Europro Tour and in The European Tour Qualifying School. A position as Head Coach at a club in Oslo was then on offer and Iain moved back to the Norwegian capital.
